cheryl harness Filled to the brim with interesting historical information, this book brings the story of Benjamin Franklin to life! The story begins with the story of Benjamin's birth and how he grew up working in a printing shop. Benjamin was not content with that however, and began his own adventures at the age of 17. He set out to travel and broke his apprenticeship agreement with an older brother in order to do it. Benjamin spent the majority of his life traveling from the colonies to Europe and back. He spent these trips learning more about scientific topics and when the American Revolution started, Benjamin spent his time in France charming Louis XVI to support the American cause. He got what he wanted and ended up playing an amazing part in forming our nation. This book has wonderful illustrations on every page and includes quotes from Benjamin Franklin himself at the bottom of the page. This book is a great addition to any biography collection. National Geographic, 2005. Ages 9-12. Kelsey Means
